Current account:

A current account is the linchpin of every money movement. All payment transactions are processed via the current account.

As a VakifBank current account holder, you have access to a comprehensive service package, because service is our top priority. We have the right account for everyone.

Basic account:

VakifBank International AG offers you, if you are a consumer, the opening of payment accounts with basic information. With the basic account, we ensure that you can use certain account services even in difficult times.

Who has a right to a basic account?

Every consumer who is legally resident in the European Union (EU) has the right to open and use a basic account with us, regardless of his or her place of residence. This right also applies to consumers without a permanent address, asylum seekers and consumers without a right of residence who cannot be deported for legal or factual reasons.

The basic account is not dependent on the purchase of additional services or banking products. However, we may refuse to open a Basic Account for certain reasons. No later than 10 business days after we receive a complete application for a basic account, we will open the basic account or reject the application.
